In Sao Paulo I became friends with Jefferson, alias Claudia Montero, a famous transsexual hairdresser, elected Miss Brazil Gay in 1999. In the year 2000 he was already a VIP. He invited us to assist on the elections of Miss Samba Gay at his school of samba. I was impressed by the over whelming femininity of the participants, which I decided to bring out in black and white at the cost of eliminating the explosion of colours of their dresses.
